How to Learn Production Systems Engineering
@With the recent advances in electronic information technology, such as the automation of production and the sophistication of information and communication technologies, manufacturing industries are becoming more internationalized and electrified. There has been an increase in overseas transfers of production factories and procurement of materials and manufacturing components through networks. In addition, there is a strong demand for production technologies that conserve the environment and ensure the health of humans by recycling resources, reusing them, and rationalizing energy use, due to the expansion of energy consumption leading to global warming and environmental problems caused by waste. In this case, there are numerous elements that make up these problems, which are interrelated and have different functions. To build a production system that takes these issues into account while responding to technological innovations such as systematization and automation of production technology and the international expansion of manufacturing, a comprehensive perspective is essential. We believe that it is essential to master the basic theory used in the actual system and the technology used to realize advanced functions in order to build such a production system. (excerpt)
@This is written based on the idea that it is important to have the ability to learn both the basics and practical aspects when studying engineering or technology. In Japan, where natural resources are scarce, it is essential for highly educated young people to grow towards the future as intellectual resources in manufacturing and technology.
